LKK promotes
Lévy Kaufmann-Kohler is pleased to announce Nina Lauber-Thommesen’s promotion to Counsel, with effect from 1 January 2021.
Nina joined LKK as an associate in 2015, and was promoted to senior associate in 2017. She specializes in commercial arbitration, acting as arbitrator, counsel or co-counsel, and secretary of the tribunal in international and domestic ad hoc and institutional arbitration proceedings. Nina has participated in more than 50 arbitral proceedings, under all major arbitration rules, including ICC, LCIA, Swiss Rules, SCC and UNCITRAL, and a variety of national arbitration acts and substantive laws, of both the common law and civil law traditions. Her areas of expertise include energy, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, international sales, banking and finance, services, construction and sports related disputes.
Nina is admitted to the Norwegian Bar and holds an LL.M. in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS) from the Geneva University Law School and Graduate Institute of International Studies. She has co-authored a number of publications on topics pertaining to international arbitration and sports law. As a Norwegian national and Norwegian qualified attorney (norsk advokatbevilling), Nina maintains a close connection to the Nordic countries and is an active member of professional networks in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.
