LKK has notable win before CAS

LKK partner Antonio Rigozzi and associate William McAuliffe represented FC Lokomotiv Moscow in CAS appeal proceedings brought by the French footballer Lassana Diarra.

The appeal was against a decision of the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber (FIFA DRC, where LKK also acted for FC Lokomotiv Moscow), which found that FC Lokomotiv Moscow had terminated Mr. Diarra’s contract with just cause in August 2014 and ordered Mr. Diarra to pay compensation in an amount of EUR 10,500,000 to the club.

On 27 May 2016 a CAS Panel unanimously rejected Mr. Diarra’s appeal in its entirety and confirmed the FIFA DRC decision.
