LKK wins case before CAS

LKK partners Antonio Rigozzi and Sébastien Besson represented FIFA in the CAS proceedings initiated by UEFA President Michel Platini against a FIFA Appeal Committee decision confirming his provisional suspension from any football-related activities at all levels for 90 days, in the context of ongoing internal investigations in relation to an alleged undue payment.

On 20 November 2015, Mr. Platini filed an appeal with CAS, together with a request for provisional measures seeking to have the suspension lifted until a final decision would be rendered by the FIFA Ethics Committee hearing the merits of the case within FIFA. The CAS held a hearing on provisional measures at the end of which it rejected Mr. Platini’s request.
