LKK Speaking Engagement

LKK partner Sabina Sacco spoke at the 12th International Conference of the Club Español del Arbitraje (CEA), which was held on 18-20 June 2017 in Madrid.

Ms Sacco was a panellist at the Breakfast of Women in Arbitration, which took place on 20 June 2017 before a packed room. The panel’s assigned discussion topic was “Judge me with an open mind – if you can”. Together with Prof. Patricia Saiz (ESADE Barcelona), Ms Sacco addressed cognitive bias in arbitral decision making, whereas the third panellist, Mr Alexis Mourre (President of the ICC Court), discussed gender and cultural bias in the appointment process and in the legal market. The panel was moderated by Ms Elena Gutiérrez García de Cortázar (Arbitration Court of Madrid) and Ms Deva Villanúa (Armesto & Asociados).
