LKK in the news
LKK partner Gabrielle Kaufmann-Kohler featured in a recent article on the online legal news feed www.Law360.com, profiling the “5 Most Influential Female International Arbitrators”, together with Brigitte Stern, Jean Kalicki, Carolyn Lamm and Lucy Reed.
Noting that Professor Kaufmann-Kohler is one of the “most oft-appointed and respected arbitrators”, regardless of gender, the article reports that she has acted in more than 200 international arbitrations, mainly as an arbitrator, under the rules of all major institutions and dealing with “some of the most noteworthy cases in recent memory”.
An honorary president of the Swiss Arbitration Association, Kaufmann-Kohler also sits, among other positions, on the board of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration, and presides over the Foundation for International Arbitration Advocacy. She is a professor at Geneva University Law School and the founder and director of the Geneva LLM in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS), a joint program of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies and Geneva Law School.
Caroline Simson’s article, The 5 Most Influential Female International Arbitrators, was published in the 17 February 2016 edition of Law360 and is available here.
