LKK Speaking Engagement

LKK senior associate Rahul Donde was invited to speak to 27 government representatives from 17 countries at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP)’s regional seminar on “International Investment Agreements (IIAs) and Sustainable Development,” which was held at the UN Conference Centre, Bangkok, Thailand, on 1 December 2016.

In his presentation “Investor-state arbitration: substantive and procedural mechanisms for ensuring social justice”, Mr. Donde explored both substantive and procedural mechanisms that could be used by states to address human rights and related concerns in existing (or prospective) investment disputes.
