LKK ASSOCIATE APPOINTED MEMBER OF THE BASKETBALL ARBITRAL TRIBUNAL

LKK associate Brianna Quinn has been appointed to the list of arbitrators of the Basketball Arbitral Tribunal (BAT).

The BAT, seated in Geneva, Switzerland, deals with contractual disputes between basketball players, coaches and clubs. Established by FIBA in 2007 as an independent arbitral tribunal devoted to the quick and inexpensive resolution of basketball-related commercial disputes, the BAT has rapidly become the second busiest international sports tribunal (after the CAS). It now handles approximately 150 cases every year.

All BAT cases are heard by a sole arbitrator, appointed by the BAT President, on a rotational basis from the BAT list of arbitrators. The list, now including Ms Quinn, is composed of six experienced international sports lawyers and arbitrators.

For more information on the BAT composition, rules and proceedings, please visit the tribunal’s website.
